130 Miles in a Day
Mat Hayward
Last year a friend of mine decided we should cycle the Coast to Coast in a day for charity. Not being a cyclist at all this was a pretty daunting task, so I got into training. At the time I had a old, big and heavy mountain bike which made training pretty difficult.
After a month or two of training I'd saved up some money and knew I was pretty serious about doing the ride, so I bought myself a Forme Vision. After that training was a breeze and the very next weekend I took part in the Great Nottingham Bike ride, which turned out to be a fantastic day.
The bike was everything I wanted, lightweight and reliable and a lot cheaper than I was expecting.
We did the Coast to Coast on August 8th, in just under 13 hours with a few stops for food etc. and we managed to raise over £2,500 on the way!
